Class of 1960

ALAN JAMES MUNDY, (Brown High Class of 1958), age 67, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away suddenly on October 29, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Carol Mundy; daughter, Angela Mundy Johnson and her husband Matt of Oxford, GA; Step-son, Vernon L. Camp of Marietta, GA; Step-daughter, Veronica Sevier of Buford, GA; Mother, Patricia Sudan Mundy; Sister, Linda Ann Mundy; Niece, Emily Diamond French all of Gaithersburg, MD; and Other Relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Mundy.

Alan was a graduate of Georgia Tech and a Licensed Professional Engineer employed with Lockheed,Sandwell, Simons Eastern and AMEC for his engineering career of 40 years. He specialized in the field of vibration engineering where he was a member of the National Vibration Institute having served as the Chairman.

He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of MENSA. He played the piano by ear, sang in a German Chorus and loved all types of music. He enjoyed reading any book that could help him learn and gain more knowledge, he practiced yoga, he wrote several unpublished manuscripts, was the family genealogist and enjoyed being in the sun.

The Service Celebrating the Life of Alan Mundy was held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Deacon Greg Ollick serving as Celebrant.
